The Lean Belly Prescription: A Fair Review

We all know that having a lot of belly fat generally is a problem. Not only can it give us those ugly and embarrassing “muffin tops”, it can add pressure to our bodies and contribute to things like diabetes, coronary issues and more. Now, however, there is a new book that you can buy known as the Lean Belly Prescription that promises to help readers get rid of their muffin tops and improve their health. This book has been reviewed pretty much everywhere and we wanted to find out if the contents of the book are as good as anything else that is already out there so we chose to give it a closer look.

You can buy the book at a “regular” book selling website like Barnes and Noble, Borders as well as on Amazon.com. This is a good sign because it adds legitimacy to the venture. This makes it easier to trust as well because you won’t have to be worried about an affiliate inflating the review to make sure that you buy the book even if they know that the book won’t be helpful. The book is also written by Travis Stork. You most likely recognize him as one of the doctors from the syndicated show “The Doctors” in addition to being a reality contestant on “The Bachelor.” He is definitely more, however, than merely a TV personality. He is a genuine doctor who works in an emergency room at a respectable hospital.

Dr. Stork uses the book to market his Pick 3 to Lean system. With the Pick 3 to Lean system, you are provided the opportunity to customize your lifestyle and eating habits without being forced to spend a bunch of time working out or exercising at the gym. The program offers you the possibility to lose weight without having to give up or refrain from indulging in the things you like the most like excellent food, free time, etc. The plan is centered on the N.E.A.T (or Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis) concept. This is the idea of being capable of use up calories and not having to work out.

From what we can tell, this book tends to make an awful lot of guarantees but doesn’t deliver any innovative or revelatory information. The real fact is that most of the tips present in this book could be found by doing a few basic Google searches and using your common sense. It will even be unsatisfying for many who are hoping for some real reasoning behind the instructions they are given. The guide isn’t going to go into theory very much whatsoever. It only gives readers a lot of instructions and plans and tells them to follow them. If you’re an individual who would like to have a clear cut plan to follow but who doesn’t want to have to worry about the particulars of the plan, this might be the book you are looking for.

Traditional logic tells us that the only way to really lose fat is to eat right and exercise. This book defies that kind of reason so we don’t actually know whether or not it is going to work as well as it promises to. However, in this day and age, with a doctor’s blessing (your own physician, not the author of the book), nearly anything is worth at least a cursory glance!
