FIND A SPORT YOU LIKE AND PARTICIPATE FOR AT LEAST A HALF HOUR THREE TIMES EACH WEEK. GOOD SPORTS FOR PUSHING THE HEART RATES ARE SOCCER, HOCKEY, TENNIS, RACQUETBALL, JOGGING, CYCLING, SWIMMING, CANOEING, KAYAKING, SKIING(DOWN HILL OR CROSS COUNTRY).THESE ARE JUST SOME EXAMPLES.
<p>WITHOUT GETTING TO DETAILED INTO HEART RATE PERCENTAGES AND ALL THAT JAZZ. I JUST USE A SIMPLE FORMULA FOR JUDGING IF I AM PUSHING MYSELF TO HARD. DON&#8217;T PUSH YOURSELF TO THE POINT WHERE YOU ARE DIZZY OR FEELING LIKE YOU ARE GASPING FOR AIR. LEAVE THAT FOR THE ATHLETES IN PROFESSIONAL SPORTS. YOU DO HOWEVER HAVE TO PUSH YOURSELF A LITTLE PAST THE COMFORT ZONE. BY THAT I MEAN IF YOU ARE STILL ABLE TO HOLD A CONVERSATION WHILE YOU ARE RUNNING OR WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE DOING YOU NEED TO PUSH A LITTLE HARDER. THIS GOES AGAINST THE OLD COMMON KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT BUT THERE HAVE BEEN SOME NEW FINDINGS ON THE SUBJECT. IT HAS BEEN DISCOVERED THAT THOSE LONG SLOW PACED AEROBIC ACTIVITIES ACTUALLY HAMPER WEIGHT LOSS PROGRESS. SO PICK IT UP A NOTCH.
